ULTIMATE SELF-CHALLENGE!!!!

About half a decade ago, some guys began The Dead Media Project, essentially an attempt to catalog a wide spectrum of obsolete media (think Betamax tapes, wax cylinders, etc). But nothing ever came of it and the thread died away.

I may not be able to revise it, but I am going to go through it in detail and comment on each one I find that's interesting and add my two cents (obsolete media joke!). It's too good an opportunity to pass up. I have to admit, I've wanted to do something like this since I first started to read that guy on Slate who's blogging the bible.
